Meet the people behind Parkside Orthodontics
Office Manager/Financial Coordinator
Vanessa is the Office Manager and Financial Coordinator in our office. She has been here since 2009. Vanessa started out as an assistant in the clinic. After about a year, she moved into a front office role. She still helps out in the clinic occasionally, so don’t be surprised if you see her back there! Vanessa has over 10 years of orthodontic experience, and is a great resource for all types of questions. Vanessa has a spunky daughter who keeps her on her toes. In her spare time, Vanessa has a passion for party planning!
Shelley has 20 years of experience in the dental/orthodontic field. She often refers to herself as a “tooth geek” (fanatic?) who absolutely loves everything about being a part of creating amazing, new smiles! As our Treatment Coordinator, Shelley helps our patients understand the treatment process and reviews financial plans to suit each individual’s needs. When she’s not in the office, she can be found on an urban hike around Mt. Tabor or one of our city’s beautiful bridges, out in the gorge exploring new trails, shopping the farmer’s markets, or just spending time with her family. Shelley says her proudest accomplishments are her three sons and two daughters, as well as her little red Toyota Prius.
Front Office Supervisor
Stacey has been in orthodontics since 2003 and is a licensed Expanded Functions Orthodontic Assistant. Stacey also loves getting to know patients and helping them understand ortho and all its dynamics by working in the front office as well. Stacey has been a part of the Parkside Orthodontics family since 2013. Stacey knew back when she had braces as a teen that this is the field she wanted to go into to and make her career. “After the incredible feelings I experienced toward my smile from working with braces and the ortho team, I knew right away that someday I wanted to help bring that same joy to others.” When Stacey is not at the office she enjoys spending time with her husband Nick, their dogs Roxi and Rico and soon their newest addition to the family, a baby boy!
Bradie is from Beaverton, OR and is graduating from Portland State University in 2015 with a degree in Health Sciences and Public Health. She grew up around orthodontic offices because her mother, Shelley, is a treatment coordinator. Bradie has been working in front office positions at orthodontic offices for four years, at Parkside since December 2014, and absolutely adores watching patients’ smiles transform. Nothing is more rewarding than watching patients fall in love with their smiles.
I have been working in the orthodontic field for over 18 years. I really enjoy meeting new patients and creating new smiles. My hobbies are restoring old classic cars, riding my scooter, gardening, fishing and RVing. I look forward to meeting all of our new patients!
I’ve been an orthodontic assistant since 2008, and I’ve been at Parkside Orthodontics since 2012 and I love being part of this team. I spend most of my time working with patients in the clinic, but I help out at the front doing some clerical support. As a child I had braces and a Herbst appliance. This has helped give me an inside scoop of what the patient is going through and how I can help them through their experience. In my spare time you will find me hanging with my husband and three kids. We love the outdoors and spend our time camping, rafting, and hiking.
I moved to Portland from Utah in 2010 and I love living here in Portland. I enjoy spending time with my husband and Pomeranian, eating at my favorite restaurants, and exploring new places in Oregon. The best part of assisting is seeing how happy the patients are with their new smile.
I am from Knoxville Tennessee where I got my RDA/CDA at Tennessee’s Technology Center Community College. I’ve been a dental assistant since 2008 and grow to love my job more and more every year. I am very eager to get to know all of our patients at Parkside Orthodontics, and hope to help make your days and smiles beautiful and bright! When I’m not at work, I enjoy camping, hiking and riding my bike, as well as horseback riding.
